Celebrating our pupils and their achievements is always an incredibly proud moment for all involved.

Members of staff recently awarded certificates and trophies for a number of different events:

3rd and 4th Form House Cricket

Despite the mixed weather over recent weeks, we were able to get our cricket season underway with the 3rd and 4th Form House Competition.

The first game saw Stafford beating Lincoln by 19 runs, which turned out to be the closest game of the day.

Lincoln picked themselves up from this defeat, however, beating Clare by 37 runs in the second match.

The final game saw a strong performance from Stafford as they beat Clare by 46 runs to deservedly give themselves the victory.

Senior House Tennis Tournament

Congratulations to Lincoln who comfortably won the Senior House Tennis Tournament - with Romily and Ben winning all their matches 4-0!

Clare were second, with Yolanda and Ben winning the most games for their House.

In third were Stafford and it was Paige and David who were the strongest pair.

Bikeability

In the week before Easter, twelve 1st Form pupils took part in their Level 3 Bikability cycle training.

The training develops skills for cycling on complex, busy or fast roads and junctions with heavy traffic and includes the core functions for safe and responsible cycling.

Despite the challenging weather conditions for the morning group all the pupils enjoyed the course,

The instructors were very complementary about the pupils and said: “It is always a pleasure coming to deliver courses at Friars - the pupils are always enthusiastic and are an asset to your school.”
