Despite the unpredictable Cumbrian weather, our first-ever Girls' House Rugby Tournament was a huge success.

Competition between the 1st and 2nd Formers was fierce - with Stafford crowned as overall winners, followed by runners-up Clare, and Lincoln in third place.

The event, organised by Upper Sixth Student Tess as part of her CTEC PE course, began with a 1-hour coaching session led by Sixth Form students - before moving onto the main event.

Tess said: "The games went really well and I'd like to thank the PE department and Miss Routledge for their support."

"I chose Antonia as the tournament's star player - she showcased good teamwork, scored lots of tries and passed the ball really well."
